Hi all, My name is Makenzie and I am the author of S U R V I V E. I’m from Seattle, WA, and live among the beautiful Pacific Northwest trees. Recently, I have been hiking a lot, and being in the dense woods gave me the idea to write this book. I wanted the main character to be a girl about my age, so I could somewhat relate her to the struggles I have in my own life. I’ve always loved the feeling I get when I read such a good book that I feel like I’m with the character experiencing the moment with them. I hope that my writing can do the same for you!

This book was both exciting and a challenge! My ultimate goal was to successfully write a story like this, and I’m glad I finally tackled it! All my life I have been obsessed with survival and doomsday novels, and I’ve always wanted to write a different take on being lost and alone in the stark wilderness. Each week my blog will be updated with a new chapter, leaving you with hooks, and cliffhangers. My hope is that I can really draw the readers in with my writing, and make it as descriptive, and riveting as possible.
